Jack Lalanne Lived the Fitness Lifestyle
Fitness Icon Devoted A Lifetime to Health and Fitness, Teaching the Fitness Lifestyle
Jack LaLanne started the first fitness show on TV in 1957 at age 43 when he taught viewers the fitness lifestyle.

Television had just become available in American households and his popular program continued to air for 34 years. His message was always consistent and his life exemplified health, and wellness through a fitness lifestyle. As a child, I cannot forget my activities in front of the television while mimicking Jack Lalanne’s exercises.
He enjoyed the benefit of good health until his recent death at age 96 and had exercised daily throughout his life. For his 60th and 70th birthdays he performed public exhibitions with his physical fitness feats that were amazing. Jack Lalanne swam a mile and a half with his hands shackled while pulling 70 boats full of people to celebrate his 70 years of life. He claimed he did this to prove to people that anything is possible at any age when you life a fitness lifestyle.
Due to his fitness lifestyle, Jack was an inspiration to countless people for health and fitness.
His mentor was Paul Bragg, the legendary nutrition guru who started the first health food stores. You can still purchase Bragg food products such as Bragg’s Amino Acids at any food store in the health section. Let Jack Lalanne’s senior fitness legacy inspire you to learn the fitness lifestyle of daily exercise and good nutrition.
